Restylane Lyft

What is Restylane Lyft?

Restylane® Lyft is a clear injectable gel solution within the Restylane® family of dermal fillers, which includes Restylane® Lyft, Restylane® Silk, Restylane® Refyne, Restylane® Defyne, and Restylane®. It is composed of hyaluronic acid (HA) and water, which together help to add volume to targeted locations in the deep layers of the face or backs of hands. Other dermal fillers within the Restylane® family are designed with other targeted locations in mind, such as Restylane® Silk, which is formulated to treat more superficial lines like the horizontal lines on the neck.

Restylane® Lyft is frequently used for the temples, jawline, chin, or cheeks where it is injected deep on the bone Contrastingly, for a dermal filler treatment for a patient’s hands, the injection will be made in the dorsum of the hand (the backside of the hand) in the subcutaneous plane (the layer of skin just below the dermis) around 2-5 mm below the skin.

It is important to point out, however, that due to the common inclusion of lidocaine (a local anesthetic and numbing agent) in Restylane® Lyft’s formula, the procedure is typically painless.

Restylane Lyft Benefits

Put simply, Restylane® Lyft is a safe, affordable, and easily reversible, non-invasive cosmetic treatment that eliminates the all too familiar signs of age. The treatment is also often tremendously quick and painless with most treatments only taking around 15 minutes to complete, and due to the inclusion of lidocaine in Restylane® Lyft, patients typically won’t feel a thing.

Restylane® Lyft is also easily reversible with an injection of hyaluronidase, which is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers. Knowing this sometimes helps newbies feel more comfortable trying fillers for the first time.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that the treatment is not permanent with effects of Restylane® Lyft lasting around 9-12 months before a follow-up treatment will become necessary if a patient would like to keep the results of Restylane® Lyft.
