CoolSculpting® is a painless, fat-freezing treatment that uses non-invasive cooling technology to eliminate excess fat from stubborn areas. This procedure finalizes the last stages of a patient’s weight loss journey by creating personalized, lasting results. Patients can enjoy the benefits of CoolSculpting while avoiding costly procedures, post-op downtime, and strict lifestyle regimes.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting, also known as Cryolipolysis, is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that breaks down subcutaneous fat by applying low temperatures beneath the skin’s surface. The application of cooling technology in targeted areas works to crystallize and get rid of unwanted fat cells, thereby leaving them to be processed and expelled naturally by the body. Results gradually develop as the body eliminates these cells over several months.
Cryolipolysis works by administering prolonged exposure to cold temperatures to fat cells. This exposure does not affect the surrounding tissue and nerves, leaving them safe from cold-induced necrosis. The biomolecules in fat are unlike the chemical makeup of nearby tissue, making the freezing points between the two different. Fat freezes and dies at a low of 39 degrees Fahrenheit, while other tissues are affected at cooler temperatures. This difference in freezing points makes it possible to localize the elimination of fat cells without causing injury to other tissues. Patients are free from scarring or lengthy recovery times after a CoolSculpting session.
CoolSculpting Benefits
CoolSculpting procedures are painless and range from as little as 30-90 minutes. Fat freezing consistently yields permanent results and creates visible improvements to the shape and size of the face and body. Patients can rely on an individualized treatment plan to enjoy a natural-looking contour. CoolSculpting has become a viable alternative to invasive surgical treatments such as liposuction, which presents considerable drawbacks and health risks.
Aside from quickness and convenience, CoolSculpting poses little to no probability of post-op hindrances to daily activities. Practitioners position Cryolipolysis above other fat-reduction techniques due to its effectiveness and low-risk factor.
What Results to Expect
- Non-Invasive
- Treats Various Body Areas
- No Discomfort
- No Downtime
- Non-Surgical
- A Slimmer, more Defined Appearance
- Accentuated and Chiseled Feature
- A Permanently Enhanced Physique
How Long Will Results Last?
Patients can expect results derived from the CoolSculpting procedure to last permanently. Cryolipolysis eliminates the existence of fat cells, making the shedding of fatty tissue indefinite. The body will not reproduce these discarded fat cells to replace what was lost.
CoolSculpting will not prevent the creation of new fat stores, so physical health consciousness is still required. Neglecting weight maintenance may provoke new fat deposits in previously treated areas. It is essential to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
CoolSculpting Cost & Pricing Structure
The cost of CoolSculpting treatments depends on the treatment area(s), amount of excess fat, and the number of sessions required for desired results. Larger body parts such as the lower abdomen will require multiple sessions, and smaller regions below the chin typically require only one. Some other factors that may influence cost include your provider and location.
- US Average: $800-$4,000
- Company Average: $750-$1,500
- Additional Costs: There are no additional costs
- Insurance: Most insurance companies do not cover cosmetic procedures. We offer a variety of payment options for your convenience.

How CoolSculpting Works
Before the first CoolSculpting session, an experienced practitioner will schedule a consultation to determine the treatment objectives and create an individualized plan. Although this non-invasive procedure requires little to no preparation, some standard operations must occur before the first session begins.
Before & Preparation
- Avoiding anti-inflammatories before treatment will lessen the chances of post-op bruising.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
- Patients can expect their treatment to last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.
- A CoolSculpting practitioner will measure the target areas.
- A practitioner will note the amount of existing fat.
- Your practitioner will create an individualized treatment plan.
During the Procedure
- Your practitioner may take photos to compare visible changes.
- A practitioner will apply a gel pad and application tool to the area of focus.
- Temperatures ranging from 39 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit will be applied to the skin’s surface above fat stores.
- The temperature application tool will glide along the skin while performing a suction that works to destroy fat cells.
- Immediately following treatment, the practitioner should massage the treated area for at least 2 minutes.
Aftercare & Recovery
- Patients are typically free of needing recovery time after a CoolSculpting session.
- Normal daily activities may resume as soon as patients leave the office.
- Avoid clothing that could irritate the skin in the event the patient is experiencing superficial discomfort.
Treatment Areas
Spa26 offers the CoolSculpting procedure for various body regions. The face and neck are common target areas, although many adults may choose to sculpt areas on or surrounding the stomach and limbs. Possible FDA-approved target areas include:

Am I a Good Candidate?
CoolSculpting is an excellent option for those who fall within 30lbs of their desired weight. This treatment is not a fat-loss solution or alternative to a healthy diet and active lifestyle. Fat-freezing is supplemental to bodies that are overall healthy and in shape.
Similar & Related Procedures
- Liposuction: Liposuction works by vacuuming out liquified fat through incisions made on the skin. A practitioner may use laser, ultrasonic, or tumescent technology.
- UltraShape: This non-surgical procedure uses ultrasonic pressure fluctuations to rupture and eliminate fat cells.
- Kybella Both procedures are non-invasive and non-surgical. However, instead of cooling techniques, Kybella uses deoxycholic acid injections to induce the necrosis of fat cells.
