It’s an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that gives you a natural refresh that leaves people guessing whether you did anything at all.

The treatment usually costs $800-$1200 per session. This price often varies because of factors like where you get the procedure done and who performs it. For example, a RN may charge less than an Associate Dr, although higher costs may not mean better results.

In this page, we’ll break down everything you need to know about Vivace microneedling treatments, from what it is, how much it costs, and how to know whether its the right treatment for you.

What is Vivace?

Vivace is a non-surgical, minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that utilizes radiofrequency (RF) microneedling to naturally stimulate collagen production, promoting facial, neck, and body contouring. It’s the quiet powerhouse that delivers real results without surgery.

Vivace combines two proven technologies, microneedling and radiofrequency (RF), but what makes it more advanced than other treatments is how it delivers both with unparalleled precision. The device uses 36 ultra-fine, gold-tipped needles that penetrate the skin at 31 customizable depths, making the treatment incredibly precise and adaptable to your unique skin needs.

In the end, you’re left with smoother, tighter, and more luminous skin without the swelling, peeling, or downtime that comes with more aggressive treatments. Vivace doesn’t just fade your skin concerns, it makes your skin young again by boosting your collagen production. Vivace gives you that refreshed, rested look people can’t quite place, but always notice.

How the Procedure Works

Vivace is a simple and effective procedure requiring minimal preparation. Understanding the steps involved is essential for anyone considering Vivace.

Before & Preparation

To get the best results from your treatment, avoid using Retin-A or abrasive products on the skin for at least three days before the procedure to prevent any irritation. It’s also important to show up with a clean face, free from makeup, sunscreen, and dirt.

Sun exposure should be reduced for at least 2 weeks to your appointment, and it’s equally important you don’t get sunburned in treatment area. If you experience a breakout close to your appointment date, contact your specialist immediately, because there may be a need to reschedule your session.

During the Procedure

Vivace Microneedling is generally painless, although some patients may feel some mild discomfort. To help with this, we apply a numbing cream on the treatment area about 30 minutes to your session. Once your skin is prepped, your care provider will use Vivace’s gold-tipped microneedling rollers to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production without tearing your skin or causing any trauma. and stimulate collagen production. The treatment itself takes around 45 minutes, but the entire process from start to finish takes around 60-90 minutes.

Aftercare & Recovery

After your treatment, it’s normal to experience minor redness and swelling similar to a mild sunburn, which fades away in a few hours. In some cases, patients experience tightness, sensitivity bruising, or pinpoint bleeding in the treatment area. These generally fade away within a few days. Avoid applying makeup or sunscreen for at least 24 hours, and steer clear of direct sunlight during that period as well.

Skip any anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen, Motrin, and Advil for 2 days after your treatment because they can interfere with your skin’s healing process. For the best results, also avoid any activity that will heat up your skin, this includes exercise, saunas, hot tubs, or long hot shower for about 48 hours after your treatment. Your practitioner will provide tailored aftercare guidance to help you maintain your results and keep your skin glowing.

Similar & Related Procedures

There are plenty skin rejuvenation treatments available today that use different approaches to improve your skin’s texture. Here’s how Vivace stacks up against these other options:

  • Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy): This procedure involves puncturing the skin with sterile microneedles to stimulate natural collagen growth. It’s best for improving texture, reducing fine lines, and minimizing pores—but without radiofrequency. The results may take longer and may not be as dramatic.
  • Morpheus8: A microneedling treatment combined with radiofrequency (RF) energy, Morpheus8 enhances skin tightening, provides a more youthful appearance, and helps sculpt facial fat. Morpheus8 typically penetrates deeper than Vivace, which may result in more downtime.
  • Fractional Laser: Fractional laser uses thermal energy to penetrate the skin’s surface, heat the tissue, and cause the body to produce more collagen. It’s great for treating pigmentation, wrinkles, and scarring, but often involves more redness, peeling, and recovery time compared to Vivace.
  • Ultherapy: This non-invasive procedure uses non-ionizing ultrasonic waves to heat or ablate tissue and cause the skin to lift and tighten. It’s often used for lifting the brow, jawline, or neck, but may not be as effective for surface texture or pores.
  • Dermapen: This skin micro-needling treatment promotes natural collagen production that works to draw, lift, and rejuvenate the skin. It’s a strong choice for clients focused on texture, acne scars, and fine lines, but it lacks the added tightening effects of radiofrequency.
  • Thermage: Thermage utilizes radiofrequency therapy to tighten loose skin, improving the firmness of body and facial contours. It’s commonly used on larger areas like the jawline, neck, and body, and is well-suited for clients looking for firmness over texture refinement.

Reviews

"I’ve just finished my 9th Vivace treatment and I feel like I look 10 years younger! Alexia is AMAZING! She has changed my skin tone, texture, and I have no more saggy skin around my cheeks. This is the best micro needling treatment out there! I love this better than any laser- it has the best numbing cream and no pain at all!!! The minute you finish you are literally glowing! (A little red for like an hour or 2 but my skin feels tighter immediately!!!)"

Vivace Microneedling

Frequently Asked Questions

Vivace is a non-invasive microneedling treatment that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy into the deeper layers of the dermis. The RF energy heats the skin, tightening both the surface and the underlying structures. Over time, your body produces new and remodeled collagen in response to these micro-injuries, resulting in tighter, smoother, and healthier-looking skin with improved texture and tone.

No. After your procedure, your skin may appear flushed, similar to the effect of an intense workout. By the next day, the flush is usually gone, leaving you with fantastic-looking skin. It’s that simple.

While every patient has their own pain threshold, most find Vivace easy to tolerate. We use a specially compounded numbing cream with a Versapro carrier, which is far more effective than standard numbing creams. Additionally, the needles are incredibly fine, so while they may look intimidating, they do not hurt. Many patients find the procedure surprisingly relaxing. Personally, I found my skin felt comfortable afterward and not even irritated. It’s truly a procedure that challenges the saying, ‘no pain, no gain.

Our experienced practitioners assess your skin to determine the best procedure for achieving your goals. Whether microneedling, RF, or a combination like Vivace is ideal for you depends on your unique needs, which is why we recommend an in-person or virtual consultation. Matching the right procedure to the right patient ensures the best results and satisfaction.

The effects of a Vivace treatment can last anywhere from six months to several years, depending on individual factors. A series of treatments is recommended for the longest-lasting results, with follow-ups every four to six months to maintain and further improve skin quality.

Yes, Vivace offers additional benefits compared to Ultherapy. While Ultherapy primarily focuses on skin tightening, Vivace addresses fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and skin discoloration, in addition to tightening the skin.

Yes, Vivace effectively tightens loose skin on the neck and other areas, such as the abdomen and arms. The use of radiofrequency energy enhances and accelerates the skin-tightening process.

While Morpheus8 and Vivace utilize similar technologies, they are not the same. Vivace combines microneedling and RF energy to target the superficial layers of the skin. In contrast, Morpheus8 uses fractionated RF energy and microneedling to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin.

Vivace is a safe and virtually painless treatment. A local anesthetic is applied before the procedure to reduce discomfort. During treatment, patients may feel light pressure, minor pricking, or a warming sensation.

Vivace delivers full results within 1-2 weeks. Improvements in texture and tone are noticeable after just one session. For the best results, we recommend three sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

The average cost of Vivace RF microneedling is about $800-$1200 per session. This value will differ based on the specific area(s) you’d like to treat, the number of treatments needed, boosters use, location, and other factors.

The Vivace treatment is neater and more precise. The addition of radiofrequency energy while microneedling tightens the skin better. Vivace treatment speeds up collagen production and skin tightening, making results visible more rapidly.

Vivace Microneedling at Spa26 enhances skin with advanced RF and microneedling technology, tightening and smoothing for a refreshed look.
